Sue Garman is one of my favorite quilters that I follow. I am trying to complete one of her applique quilts called “Lily Rosenberry.” It has been about 5 years since my last applique quilt so alot has changed since then. No longer are quilters using paper and hand basting around the templates. Now quilters are using freezer paper templates, spray starch, or water to securely fold the seam allowance under. Alot of time goes into the prep work but now it is faster by far once that step is completed.
