I’m back!

My family and I went on a much needed vacation.  It’s been 4 years since we

last went on one.  It is amazing how much you think you don’t need a vacation,

then when you are away, you realize how much you did need it.

I am back and off to the races!

Holly began quilting last year and, to guesstimate, she has made 5 quilts

thus far.  Not bad for a beginner.  She has help from Carol  and together

they make quite a team.

On Monday, Holly called and dropped off some quilts.  She needed 2 by

Friday.

This one is for someone special who loves John Deere tractors.  It is quite cute.

I think that he will love this quilt.

We decided that it needed a circular design, so we went with

“Flirtatous.”  Lots of swirls and circles to give the quilt top movement.

Even the back of the quilt has John Deere all over it.

This second quilt was made by Carol and given to Holly.

What a gift!

We decided to go with another circular design, to add movement to

the quilt pattern.  This time, we chose “Quirky.”  It is one of my favorite

pantos, from Willow Leaf Studio. I think it looks great!

Tomorrow, I am working on 2 pillow shams.  Hoping to have all 3 done and

out the door by Friday.

I am hoping to continue with the fabric painting and am looking forward to

Mickey Lawler being on The Quilt Show, this week.  She paints alot of fabric

and I am hoping  to learn  lots from her.

Until next time,

Happy Quilting.
