A Local Quilt Show-Part 1

Several weeks back, there was a local quilt show. I took lots of pictures for you

and will show them in the next couple of weeks. Here are some photos of

the quilts. Be pre-warned though, there are alot of pictures. You may want

to grab a coffee or tea. Enjoy the show!

Love the colors of this one.

This was an interesting quilt. I like the colors but wait until

you see the quilting.

Lots of feathers all over the quilt.

I am unsure if this is stitching or embroidery. Whatever it is, it is quite

interesting.

Again, I am unsure of what type of stitching this is but I do like it.

Love the feathered star.

Helen’s quilt

This is Helen’s fabric selvage quilt.

I love the close up;  it helps you to be able to actually see the quilt up close and

personal.

Mary’s quilt

Mary hand pieced this top . It is quite complicated and it took Mary a long time

to complete. Well done Mary.

Modern quilt

I really like the colors of this one and the quilting is interesting too.

A close up of the quilting.

This one reminds me of McKenna Ryan.

The Cardinals are really nice. I really like this block.

I like this quilt too. An interesting lay out as well.

The sunflowers

The sunflower block is really nice. Do you see the dragonfly next to the sunflower?

Modern quilt

Again, the colors are striking.

Sampler quilt

Modern quilt

Interesting modern quilt.

Another sampler?

This one yells out for you to notice it. I like the idea of using up more selvages

and scraps.

Another modern quilt. Lots of variations and modern quilts this year.

Pieced quilt

Interesting interwoven design.

Last but not least, a scrappy quilt.

I hope you enjoyed the show. Lots more to come next week as well.
