Tis the season for spending money, eating, and running around like a chicken
with its head cut off. Does this sound familiar to you? Yup, it feels like this to
me right now.
Here are a few photos of quilts I have completed recently.
Evelyn has been busy making quilts. This is the second one of this pattern, only in
a different color way. It is quite simple but the color choices make it stunning.
A close up of the block and the stitching. I used a monofilament thread for the
ditch work and a white polyester thread for the background motif. Although it
the motif looks complicated, it is quite simple. A loop de loop that looks great
when it is done.
The backing is a great mix of colors.
Evelyn also created this beauty for her son. She wasn’t sure of what to stitch onto
the top but straight lines work every time and make it feel more masculine.
The blocks, up close and personal. I used a grey polyester thread for the top and the
backing.
The backing and all those straight lines.
A close up of the stitching. Have a great week and don’t stress too much.

Hi Christine, I love the quilting on the first quilt – great loop de loop!
