Way Back…

As I was looking through my photos for this blog tonight, I realized that the pictures

are from way back in the summer. Alot has happened since then but I am catching

up in showing you some of my customers’ work. I must admit, my customers

are pretty talented, as you will shortly see.

Baby Quilt

Who can resist Winnie The Pooh. He seems to be timeless.

Eeyore is so cute as well. I really love this baby quilt.

And Piglet, of course can’t be left out. I used a white polyester thread for the

top and a light blue for the backing.

Winnie the Pooh is busy enjoying his favorite snack.

The backing is always nice to see. The texture from the quilting shows up nicely

on solid backings.

The Backing

One of my customers likes to make up her own patterns. She made this for her

daughter’s friend and husband. Very modern looking to me.

I used a black polyester thread for the top and the backing and followed the piecing in each

block. Why fight the piecing, go with the flow, in this case.

The backing was a grey print but the stitching shows up nicely.

Anne made this quilt for a friend using a panel and adding borders. I love the colors and

the print, so cheery.

The backing

I used a light yellow polyester thread for the top and a cream for the backing. Flowers

were stitched all over the quilt top.

Dale’s quilt

Dale made this cutie for one of her grand daughter’s. Can you guess what she loves?

It was alot of fun working in this quilt.

Unicorn’s mane

I love the simple wavy lines in the unicorn’s mane. I used a grey polyester So Fine thread

on the backing and I matched the thread color to the background colors on the top.

The backing is so soft and the texture is amazing.

Laura’s Quilt

Laura made this huge quilt. I am amazed at how large some of these quilts are and how

someone can actually fit them under their sewing machine.

The blocks

All that piecing too! Whew! I don’t have time to piece anymore but the patience it

requires is incredible.

The outer border is composed of flying geese. I really love flying geese in the borders but

would not attempt it myself.

The center medallion area. The colors were really rich looking as well. It will

look great on Laura’s bed.

 The Backing

Have a great week and stay warm. There is another cold front moving in. Australia sounds good

right about now, they are having a heat wave.
