I am not sure if you know about Northcott’s new modern division called Figo.

And no, I am not getting paid to tell you about this. I have been working on some

of their quilts that were displayed in their booth last week at QuiltCon, in Nashville.

And yes, I do have pictures of these samples for you. I had to wait until QuiltCon was

over so you could see them. Hope you like them.

Lo & BEhold Stitchery is the pattern designer of this quilt. The fabrics are from Northcott’s new

modern line.

The quilting consists of straight lines throughout the entire quilt.

Very geometric quilting. I used a  clear monofilament thread for the top and a light purple for

the backing.

The Blanket Statement designed this small wallhanging and the name of the pattern is Pine

Falls. Again, lots of straight line quilting.

Sienna Burst is the name of this quilt and Then Came June is the designer.

There are alot of straight lines , cross hatching, and pebbles on this quilt.

Love the backing color and the stitching.

Again, the overall look of the quilting on the backing differs so much from the front of the quilt.

Nordic Triangles is the name of the pattern and Suzy Quilts is the designer.

Once again, the fabrics are new from Northcott.

Lots of straight line quilting.

Love the look of the backing. I tried matching the thread color on the front and

the backing. This is what it looks like when pink thread is not used on the backing of

the quilt.

Initial K Studio designed this quilt called  “Lucky Charms.”

In each of the colored sections, I quilted in a different motif. It helps

to add some interest to the quilt, especially due to all the straight

lines that are stitched into the quilt.

 

Then Came June designed this quilt. Each row received its own motif, again to add interest to

the quilt.

The blue row received swirls. These are alot of fun to quilt.

Cross hatching was added to the grey row.

Circles and pebbles were stitched into the black row.

The yellow row received angled lines.

Northcott’s Stonehenge fabric line is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year! Wow!

Way to go Northcott and Stonehenge. This is big, especially since Northcott is a Canadian

Company.

This quilt consists of a Stonehenge panel in the middle and lots of Stonehenge fabrics used

in the borders and outer sections. In the outer flower petals, I stitched in swirls. I was trying to

keep the quilting simple due to lots of movement within the Celtic knots in the fabric.

The center panel was quilted  following the print on the panel. No need to fight what is

printed on the panel.

A Celtic design was quilted into the orange-red area as well. I tried to find motifs that would

match the Celtic feel of this quilt.

I quilted around the motifs in the blue section of the quilt. I also used lots of clear and smoky

monofilament thread to stitch around motifs and the center panel. This saved alot of time in that

I didn’t have to constantly change thread colors for different areas of the quilt.

The backing of the quilt is also full of Celtic designs.
