Here are more pictures of our Local Quilt Show, that was held in September.
The tiny houses are very cute.
Here is the entire village of the tiny houses. Did you notice how the color changes in the
background around the perimeter of the quilt?
I like the quilting on this quilt. I am constantly looking for new designs and this one intrigues me.
There is only half a quilt because there was alot of bad shadows on the one side. You
will have to use your imagination to fill in the rest of the quilt.
The small pieces that are acting as sashing, is interesting.
Can you guess what block this quilt is made up of?
It never cease to amaze me of how clever quilters are at using
a common block to create a new design.
The “Log Cabin” block certainly looks different in this quilt.
This reminds me of a modern quilt with a traditional twist. What do you think?
The backing to a Canadiana quilt.
Another backing.
I thought that you might want to see all three of these quilts together.
The quilting design is pretty nice, anyone know the name of the design?
I love this quilt. All the colors, the pattern, the design.
The barns are interesting. I saw an interesting barn in NewMarket the other day.
Hippo or safari anyone?
Can you find the hippo in this picture? I think that he has gone into hiding.
This quilt reminds me of the autumn leaves that are falling right now..
Brenda made this quilt at the Kempenfelt Guild, last year, as their
Block of the Month.
She picked out gorgeous colors. Not only can she applique but she can choose
great colors too!
Great job Brenda! Well done!
This center motif is so simple yet so classy.
Here is the entire quilt, well half of it again. You get the idea though.
Once again, the colors are the ones that I love right now.
I like the green, black, and white color combination.
I hope you enjoyed the show, more to follow next week. May I suggest that you get
outside and take a look at the Fall colors, if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, that is.
Have a great week .
